★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great walk! Decent size track and not overly difficult, but definitely not a walk in the park. As an asthmatic who is not fit, it took me just under 2 hours to the top, and under 3 hours return. The stairs at the last section is what slowed me. Amazing views from the top though, and a very cool experience overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a beautiful hikoi up the Maunga. We cherished every moment. Scenic view was exceptional. Once we got to the top we could see Mt Ruapehu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice gentle incline for mountain bikes or walking. Occasional vistas can be seen through the trees on the path as you walk up. Gentle steps take you right to the top where there is a viewing platform. Kids can walk up here easily with adult support. 3 hours return on average and the area is great for training for the fitter person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful mountain always great it's an extraordinary view once you reach the summit but even before that you still get stunning views going up the paths well worth the time or looking something to do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Steep and hard climb. Disappointed that the view was not as good as expected at the top. The native trees are all very high and is blocking the view at the top. Still good views at some parts. Glad I did it but won't do again.
