★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can begin My Roberts tracks from two points, 1. Paddy's Track, 2 Pinchgut Track. We took Paddy's Track. We walked downhill a little bit and than all up. When we reached the bush line hut. It was a good place to have lunch. From there we continued up hill until we got to the track that goes to Angelus Hut. From there it is all down hill. You will arrive at the upper car park and than you have to walk along the road to the car park below where you began your hike. It took us 90 minutes to get to Bush line Hut. We had few stops to take pictures. From Bush line Hut it took us 2 hours. The climb up was but steep. If a fat guy like me can do it, so can you. If you took the Pinchgut Track. You will see Lake Rotoiti while hiking down. But you will have to climb from second car park up to the top. We walked with small pace and made it. My calve muscle is bit sore today but I know I will be ok. The toilet facilities at Bush line is clean but you need to get your own toilet paper. The track is well maintained but you need to look where you are stepping next. I will definitely recommend this track to everyone but those with bad knee has to take precautions. I wish I had burnt 5 kg doing this track...lol. oh yes, don't forget to take enough water.
