The food was mediocre at best, one of the dishes tasted off and when we asked the restaurant about it the chef came In and yelled at us claiming that people living in havelock are very decent and full of quality so therefore the food could never be old and is high quality. He didn't give us the gap to speak and accused us of dissing the food although we were merely sharing our opinion for the extremely overpriced and tiny portioned food we were given. Moreover the rest of the dish were left on our plates and we did not eat it. The chef was extremely rude and impolite and should take a basic class in customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food and service were ok but not outstanding and we were having a pleasant evening until we were asked to vacate our table as they needed our table for other guests. At this stage we had just finished our main course and had not been asked whether we wanted coffee or dessert. We were told that if we wanted to carry on drinking there was a pub across the road. I wanted a coffee but didn’t feel I could stay and felt uncomfortable and left. This happened perhaps five minutes after we finished our main course, we were quiet and I can think of no reason why it happened except they wanted to turn over the table quickly. For starters mains and drinks we spent over $100 for two, again not unreasonable but surprising to have been spoken to so abruptly as we were not eating or drinking slowly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today 15th April 2022, Easter Friday Experience at the Namaskar Indian Restaurant: great, amazing service, delicious & yummy food. Reasonable prices. Especially liked the kids menu with coloring available for children to keep them busy while waiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Hawke's Bay on Easter Weekend and had dinner on Sunday at Namaskar restaurant. It was not full and the waitress easily found a table for me.
I ordered a Samosa for entree, Naan bread, Chicken Methi as a main and mango / coconut ice cream for dessert. Also, some Tawny Port.
Wow...have to say that it was one of the best Indian food experiences that I ever had. It was just delicious.
Have to admit that I ate more than I should as I usually don't eat too much for dinner but just with the thought of leaving behind some of that delicious food just created some more room in my stomach.
Thank you for the amazing food and for the excellent and friendly service too.
The cost was very good if you take into consideration the quality of the food, atmosphere and service.
Will come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry for not taking photos before we started our dinner, the food was delicious and I loved every bite, hence the half eaten meals, 10/10 thanks to the chef and lovely waitress that served us , she couldn’t do enough for us, will we be back ? Most definitely , highly recommend the restaurant
