β β β β β Otherwise lovely clinic let down hugely by abrupt and condescending receptionist. Looking at other reviews I don't think I'm the only one to feel this way and a change of staff may be required if you wish to keep a positive reputation.

β β β β β Abrupt rude receptionist. When our 4 yr old wandered around her side and touched her leg she flipped and basically smacked him away which upset him (and us). She'd be better as a women's prison warden rather than a much needed friendly compassionate face when you are sick.
Will never return here and would actively discourage others. There are others around with a smile, i'd suggest you look elsewhere.

β β β β β So far this has been the most friendly doctor's office I have ever been to. They have always been quick to answer the phone and help me with all my questions. The nurses are lovely and very informative. I'm happy to call this my local GP ?

β β β β β Receptionist extremely rude and unfriendly, not the kind of person you want to deal with when going to a medical examination.
Luckily, nurses qnd health care workers are amazing and make the experience a lot more enjoyable once you leave the waiting room.

β β β β β After 3 years of going to this medical center and passed around numerous doctors, they would have to be the worst place I've ever come across, doctors don't listen, they don't pay attention to what I've said, they pass you around from doctor to doctor and you never get a decent answer from them, they have failed each and every time to assist with the pain levels, the distress and anxiety caused by the complete ineptitude of the doctors here is unreal. I would feel confident in saying this place has not helped whatsoever, has not payed attention, has gone off in the complete opposite direction of helping, in fact has caused more problems then they have solved. I would NOT recommend this practice to even my dog. If you want to see a doctor and get answers, this is not the place, if you don't mind spending years wasting your time then be my guest, horrible experience from this place. Knowledgeable and compassionate? Really? That's basically an outright lie, Knowledgeable as in after 3 years your doctors still have no clue what the issue is? Compassionate as in you constantly wait till 5 mins before closing to reply or get back to people about their issue meaning they have to wait till the next day or else go to emergency department in order to get some kind of pain relief? Your doctors just don't listen whatsoever and have no clue what they are doing other then chasing their own tail. Most of the time from my experience with your clinic is the doctors don't know what the left hand is doing from the right!

β β β β β I've been with Nelson Family Medicine for 10+ years now and have had no bad experiences whatsoever. I've always found the staff to be knowledgeable, friendly and helpful (asking about and quickly sorting out Southern Cross, ManageMyHealth membership etc). I've mostly seen Dr Andy and Dr Ed, and found them both to be excellent doctors and would certainly recommend them.
