★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a steak meal it was very nice we did not enjoy the herb butter on it so ordered some garlic butter instead and we shared some side dishes. Onion rings squid rings and extra chips n garlic Parāoa....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to the roof top to enjoy a good steak and wow I was so not disappointed!
We had oyters to start and our mains were the dry aged steak line caught market fish with broccollini house steak fries.
Steak was cooked to perfection, fish was amazing, in fact it all was superb.
Our service was really attentive for the obviously new staff, we had such a great experience here and I couldn't recommend this place enough.
The cocktails were also amazing!!
If I could give more stars I would!
Wish I took more photos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As the restaurant advertises itself as a ‘fine dining experience’, it fell short. We were seated for 20 minutes and were not offered water; I had to go over myself and grab the jug on the staff counter. The staff were not attentive in the slightest; only taking our food order after 30 minutes since we were seated by us calling her over. The entrees took 20 minutes to arrive, and they forgot to put chicken in the salad and had to take back the dish to fix it. Overall the entrees were okay. The mains we ordered were also pretty average; I ordered the market fish and it was as dry as a bone. Aidan ordered a steak with mushroom sauce but the chefs instead decided to put a random sauce in substitution without informing us until the moment they served the dish. The Mac and cheese was horrid: drowning in oil at the bottom. We sent it away and when they remade it, it was just soupy and gross. However, we gave up and ate it anyways because we waited a total of an hour and a half for our mains to come out. The staff lacks the basic skills to be good at their job; so don’t expect for them to come to your table; bring a whistle next time to call them over. Overall experience 0/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well deserving of it’s one star. Slow service despite the restaurant being empty. I guess that was because of how long it took to turn a burger patty into something more closely resembling a gumboot, tough, dry and tasteless. Steak was below average. Won’t be back, ever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Underwhelming experience. Arrived 1818hr ordered 1825hr. Food arrived at 1945hr. 3x similar sized tables came after us have ordered and gone. We enquired and was told it was because the others were in a rush to eat and the restaurant was experiencing a busy night (but we were not told at any point there was going to be a long wait for food). Service was not great tonight.
Once food arrived we were quite disappointed overall. 1) mixed grill for 2x ($110) the coleslaw was actually nicer than it looks. Steak was seasoned well but cold, as was the rest of the meat. Definitely not the quality you would expect from a grill house. 2) Tuna tataki $20 entree. Quite tasty and favourite dish of the night. 3) vegetarian spaghetti $28 dollars. Okay at best.
Good points, the decor was nice and there was a decent drinks selection. Definitely a lot of potential.
Google review currently has this place at 3.7 stars which is pretty generous. We give this place 2 stars based on our experience which we feel is honest and fair. We understand that individual experiences might differ, but it's hard for us to recommend the New York Grill based on what we saw.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you for a fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we were so well looked after by your staff. The main waiter was the best waiter in Auckland we’ve ever met. He had such great customer service. We ordered the New York Mixed Grill and Burgers & Fries for our kids. And a couple of drinks, Espresso Matini was a treat. Food was delicious! Our kids loved the food too & the playground outside!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only restaurant I'm disappointed with in Westfield newmarket.
1. chips no seasoning, and there are 2 raw chips inside, other are fully cooked, this is unbelievable; ?
2. there are two piece lamb ramps, one has no seasoning;
3. Eye fillet is made to be fully cooked. I asked the stuff to remade the dish, and the second time is also close to fully cooked, seems like the chef wants to cover up the freshness of the steak.
And… there are not many customers dining inside, which means the kitchen is not busy, and this really should not happened.
By the way, sauce was good.
