Did altitude training with Walter in June in preparation for our trip to South America. Spent 5 weeks in South America, with 10 of days at altitude in Peru including the Macchu Picchu walk. Had no problems at all. Would totally recommend doing Altitude training.

I have been going to Walter at the NZ Altitude Training Centre in preparation for my trek to Everest Base Camp. Not only is the training enjoyable but Walter has been able to provide additional advice and tips that will no doubt prove invaluable. Its a comfortable environment to train in and there are a variety of methods which can be utilised. For me, the piece of mind that I am more equipped to handle reduced oxygen and significantly reduced the likelihood of getting altitude sickness is something I would find difficult to turn down. I will certainly return for training prior to my next high altitude expedition and would highly recommend it for anyone planning on going on a high altitude trek. Not to mention Walter being an absolute genuinely nice guy. Ben Twigden
