Easily it was one of the best experience we have had so far with a car rental company - and we travel a lot and hire a lot of cars in different locations, and so are able to compare.Craig - the person in charge of this set up, is totally customer focussed. He is friendly and does not hesitate to go out of his way to meet a customer's requirements. For example we were travelling to Dunedin for the first time and so casually enquired with Craig about the best way to reach the car yard. It was a surprise to hear him offer to hand over the car at our hotel. Not only that - he even arranged to collect the car from our hotel at the end of the rental without charging anything extra.The car provided was clean and in very good condition.It was a very different and pleasant experience dealing with Craig, and this car rental outlet.read less

How you can not know it before enter into the contract since you are working every dayS with foreign customer? it's something unbelievable! condition of the car questionable! safety it's not a priority for them! STAY AWAY bad experience!

We rented a car from NZRentACar, got ourselves into a pickle well away from home and Kerrin and Al came to the rescue and got us sorted - even though that meant working outside their usual hours. They went the extra mile when they really didn't have to. From Megan & Clark: "Thanks heaps!"

β β β β β Fantastic service. Used Auckland and Nelson branches We changed cars at pick up in Nelson to a larger vehicle and wasn't an issue. Even got my sungalsses I left behind back to me on my flight before we flew out. Very impressed!

β β β β β I would like to commend the staff at this branch and the Queenstown airport branch on their excellent customer service. I was really impressed from the start of the hire till the end. I made a mistake when booking by putting down the wrong drop off location but when I rang they were quick to respond and sorted it out straight away and kindly dropped us straight away to the airport which was great as my husband and I were rushing to make our flight! Well done to all. Normally, I hire off international car rental companies when I travel but this experience has changed my mind about regional hire companies. I definitely would recommend New Zealand Rent A Car. Apart from the great customer service, the cars were affordable and in perfect condition! Big thumbs up from Ireland!

β β β β β I was really impressed with every part of our customer experience. Really friendly helpful people. Prices excellent, car was better than expected. Got shown how to put the snow chains on and it was really freezing outside but the guy was happy to lie on the frozen ground and show me how they worked. Drop off was a cinch, in fact the whole experience made me want to make sure I use them next time we go to queenstown. Awesome customer experience!
