About Nicola Deerness - Marriage Celebrant
One of my passions is celebrating life's occasions. In particular, the coming together of two people in marriage.
I have been a Marriage Celebrant since 2019 and have married over 50 happy couples!
With a background in planning and logistics, I am well organized and can assist with the logistics of your day. I have high attention to detail. I love writing, researching and pinteresting.
As well as being a wife (of 9 years!), and mum of two young children, I am also an enthusiastic vege-gardener, dog walker, ocean swimmer, Warriors supporter, and fan of home reno shows. I also love a good DIY project.
It goes without saying, I'll happily marry ALL couples, regardless of which footy team they support!
I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My darling and I had the pleasure of having Nicola as our Celebrant at our small pop up wedding. She was so helpful, friendly, and took away a lot of stress that organising a wedding can bring. Although we found her in the last minute for our last minute planned wedding, it seemed as though we had planned our wedding ceremony with her months ago, as her communication was so clear, and efficient. We were given all the information we needed to have, and we didn't have to worry about the ceremony part of our wedding at all. Nicola was also very accommodating to all our small changes to a 'traditional wedding ceremony', and had our vows printed out and cut into cue card scripts incase we needed prompting. We didn't meet in person until we walked down the aisle to start the ceremony, all communication happened via email, but all our guests shared with us how she arrived early, and spoke to our family and friends and was so friendly. Organising a wedding via email without meeting in person may seem like a risky option, however with Nicola and the exchange in emails and information we were fortunate to receive, we could tell we didn't have to worry about anything.

Nicola was highly organised and efficient. She is very approachable and easy to talk to, and has a calm reassuring manner.
