★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in the new (2018) Studio addition. Gosh, what luxury and gorgeous design.
Tasteful decor, leather couches, huge smart TV with Netflix, very adequate kitchenette, quality crockery and glassware, huge extra comfortable king size bed with super soft cotton sheets and many pillows. Many lovely touches that make the difference.
En suite spacious shower room is just divine with low sensor night light, great toiletries, power shower, painted paneling, lovely tiles, glass shower, fluffy towels.
The house with large grounds is on the edge of the village. The studio is in the design of a small old farm cottage, attached to a century old converted grand house. There's a cute outside verandah with comfortable rattan chairs from which there is a glimpse of Mount Hutt.
We stayed 3 nights in May which was just enough time to explore the stunning surrounding High Country and take in some walks. It was such a lovely place we wished we could have stayed longer.
The host was most helpful and a pleasure to chat with and get some local tips.
We highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a gem - divinely comfortable and understated luxury. Attention to every detail. My idea of perfect accommodation for a couple. Lovely hosts and a gorgeous dog, beautiful grounds. Couldn’t have asked for a better bolt hole for an easy drive to Mt Hutt.
