β β β β β My morning didn't get off to a great start today. I was asked for a V Pass to get takeaway coffee & morning tea from our local cafe Nourish in Te Puna. I placed my order & was about to pay when I was asked for my V Pass. I said to the staff member 'for takeaway food', she said 'yes'. I said 'I ordered takeaway food from here last week no problem'. The staff member said you need to have a V Pass to purchase food from here.
I walked out & loudly said I would take my service elsewhere & I did to The Whipped Baker who are now happily serving takeaway food & letting everyone dine al fresco.
Nourish you have lost my business after 6 years of being a loyal customer.
I guess you always have to see the silver lining. One business may fail us while the other will flourish.
Moral of the story is discrimination will get you nowhere in the long run & treating people right will get you everywhere.

β β β β β Nothing special about the cafe apart from the high priced items that get heated up before being served.
But the staff were amazing and very helpful. Thank you, staff at Nourish Cafe. Keep up the great work.

β β β β β Lovely cafe with amazing selection of food and great coffee plus rabbits and playground outside to entertain the kids. Very expensive if taking the family out and always very busy, so prepare to queue. Would be great to have more shade outside.

β β β β β Better than average coffee and a great selection of cabinet food, plus a meal menu. The food is good if not cheap.
However, the location is a bit noisy with a car park on one side and state highway on the other.
The big annoyance to me is that on 2 Jan they applied a 15% surcharge. How is this justified when itβs not even a public holiday? Had my wife not been with me I would have walked.

β β β β β Good service and lovely looking cabinet food, coffee also good. Unfortunately the creamy mushrooms was more like canned mushroom soup. This was politely.mentioned to the waitress who was very understanding. We then ordered a second coffee so were there for some time. Would have expected some mention of our feedback from manager or owner if not only to acknowledge that the waitress passed on our constructive criticism. I'm only writing this as I don't know if she passed it on.

β β β β β We ordered the French Toast. It was very delicious. Awesome ambience with lot of space at the backyard. Good for a great dine in with family. This place has even got a small playground.

β β β β β TePuna is so fortunate to have this wonderful cafe, sadly it doesn't seem the owners show the same respect to their customers. The neglect and refuse under and around the tables in the garden area was very disappointing. I visited before 10am so cannot believe there wasn't enough time to sweep and clean, and from the appearance of the old bottle caps, paper napkins, sauce containers, leaves, etc., they had all accumulated over days. Regardless, there should be no excuses for poor hygiene. And the optional 15% added to the bill....

β β β β β Love the atmosphere! Love the NY cheese cake and Lemon Berry cake. The Chocolate Nutella & Banana French Toast and Nourish Grill β Big Breakfast were delicious. Bit pricey but food was delicious.
Good coffee ?
