★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cozy hostel near the beach with a relaxed atmosphere. The view from the rooms are marvelous and give you a real ocean feeling. The rooms are spacious enough for a couple of days and have all amenities onboard. Staff is friendly and offers help whenever they can. Sure be coming back when I'm in the neighborhood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owners claim there are coastal views but we only had a view of sheep in a paddock. We expected some cooking facilities but discovered all we had was a dirty and rusty bbq with no utensils.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic motel, just like a hotel room. Our room was modern, clean and very comfortable. A short walk to the beach or The Point pub. Being on a side road, the only noise we heard was from some tuis. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely excellent, good value motel with super sea views from our unit. Very clean, well maintained with a great vibe, well appointed.
We were going to travel south one way returning to Queenstown via Invercargill but enjoyed this motel and kaka Point (& environs) so much... we toured The Catlin Coast only to reverse our journey to ensure we could soak up the hospitality of Nugget View Kaka Point Motel and properly relax in the short time we had available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband & i thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kaka Point. The Motel was lovely & clean & the views from our room were amazing! we were given a map of the Catlins & were shown areas that were popular to visit. highly recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely motel with a beautiful sea view from the kitchen and bedroom. The couches were very comfortable. We had a family room and the unit was great with 2 single beds in one room and a double for the adults in another room. Well positioned living room and kitchen. Excellent shower pressure! Bench space was a little limited for preparing and cooking a meal but just a minor inconvenience. Hosts were lovely. Great rate for the room. Would love to stay again.
