Delays
- As a result of unplanned airport equipment issues, there are delays to some parcels sent by courier between the North and South Islands yesterday in both directions.
Delays to Mail Items:
- Due to precautionary maintenance on some of our electric mail buggies, delays of up to 2 days are expected for mail items across the country. These delays only impact mail delivered through our Paxster fleet – not Courier or Rural items.
- As our posties continue to deliver mail with a reduced fleet and through other means of transport, there is a small backlog forming. This will clear once the Paxsters are back up and running.
Delays to Parcels:
- We are experiencing delays of up to 3-4 days with parcel deliveries in Whangarei Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions as a result of ongoing high levels of absenteeism due to illness.
- In the South Island, we are experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days in Dunedin and Invercargill.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have thoroughly enjoyed being passed around their eCommerce and customs team for over a month. Over 5 staff members, countless email chains, yet no answer or resolution on my case. Worst customer service I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Appalling service from the ladies inside the postal service desk. I arrived after work at 4:45pm just to get a stamp to send some very important documents back home to Australia and they turned me away saying they were closed. I said the website says you're open till 5pm and she still refused to serve me, meanwhile she was processing another ladies parcels. I work full time from 8am to 4:30pm and don't have time on my break to get there and back and still eat my lunch. Very disappointed as all I needed was a stamp, it would have taken an extra minute of their time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They delivered my parcels to wrong address. I’m in Thorndon, but they delivered some where in Karori. I called them on Friday and they said they call me back at least on the next Tuesday. But they didn’t. So, I call them again and they said “You don’t need to call us again and again, as soon as we have an update we call you.”
I waited for nearly 2 weeks, and finally they sent me E-MAIL mentioning that they lost and they can’t help me.
I won’t use NZpost anymore.
By the way, when I CHAT to AmazonAU they helped me out within 1 minute.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sweet, def does not fit in my mailbox...? Good waste of time for me to go pick up what could’ve been left. Lazy. did y’all even get out of the car? Scared of spiders? Ok fair enough but don’t lie and say it won’t fit. Lady at the store was nice though.
Other occasion, courier dropped my package at complete wrong location not even close to the correct address. Lodge a complaint, never got back to me, only reason I got my package was because the sender included my number on the package and the mistaken recipient called me. Courier job must be awesome; 0 accountability, job standards nor expectations. where do I sign up?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of those older 1960s 12 story Post Office buildings recently updated on the outside and re-dressed on the inside with other Agency tenants.
The Post Box Centre and mail centre staff are excellent to deal with as is the Post Shop and Kanteen

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to be good, but I think they’ve started hiring blind people to deliver for them now. It’s now a genuine risk to use NZ Post or any other service they provide.
