★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor experience - my move was less than 1 km so the crew had the attitude of it doesn't need to be wrapped or hardly protected on this short trip. The headboard was not wrapped and carried out to truck but the guy realised after starting it was too heavy - set the finished wood side directly on the asphalt and marred the finish - I tried to reach out to sales team and was ghosted - funny how they call you back when it is about a new job, but not when there are problems - avoid this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently shifted from Whangarei to Christchurch, the teams in Whg and Chch were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and super efficient. My house lot of furniture arrived on schedule, 8 days from Whg to Chch. Items were placed in my house upon arrival and even the beds were put together for me. I would highly recommend NZ Van Lines. Thanks to both teams for an uneventful shift. :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have never used NZ Van Lines. I gave a bad review because I went to take my granddaughter to school at Redwood one morning only to find an arrogant truck driver had backed the truck up a driveway next to the primary school. He had parked the truck completely over the foot path and a car width out on to the road. I watched young children having to walk out onto Preston's Road at 8.40am trying to get to the front gate. I was totally discussed it is very congested there at the best of times and it just played havoc with cars and children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired NZ Furniture Movers to move from Wgtn to ChCh last year. The Wellington crew were good to deal with, however some of my belongings were damaged in transit.
I didn't realise that the ChCh leg of my move would be through NZ Van lines, which was not a great experience.
Apparently NZ Van Lines, NZ Movers and The Moving Company are all owned by the same person. They work independently but share resources, trucks and people.
When I raised issues regarding my moving experience, the ChCh Branch Manager was very responsive, professional, and keen to put things right to the extent possible.

Challenging at both ends but NV Van Lines talked us through it, kept in regular touch, and coordinated the whole processes as good as it could have been done. The crew unloading at the NZ end, led by Charlie, were quick and friendly. Many thanks!
