Wookies In The Wild has come to Ohakune 3 years in a trot now and each year we book out every room we can here. Every year Katherine and the team welcome us with the biggest smiles and nothing is too much. Having 40+ cars and 80+ people is no easy task yet we are always made to feel so welcome!

Surrounded by bush, bush walks, and a soothing mountain stream, yet a minutes’ walk from downtown Ohakune, this is a perfect spot for families, couples or solo travellers. Clean, well-maintained facilities, and one of the best holiday parks I’ve stayed in.

Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival with a full set of plates, towels, tea, soap, etc. They have a nice heater in the living room, bathroom and underneath the bed sheet. Affordable pricing and great place. I will most likely book at this place again for my next trip. Thank you for your great service.

The standout features were the service, surrounding bush walks and stream, playground and that it was in a central location walking distance to the main street and restaurants. We got a flat tyre while there and one of the cleaners was very friendly and lent us her car jack, it turned a potentially bad situation into a positive experience, thank you cleaner :) it really shows how the service was friendly all around, not just at the reception. Thank you Ohakune Top 10 for a great holiday!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome holiday Park, lovely welcome. Nice and close to town with excellent bathrooms and well appointed kitchen. Love the selection of herbs growing for campers to use. My only complaint is the powered site we had was very small and I could hear my neighbour snoring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really friendly team and so helpful. The facilities are very good. There's a stream runs along the back of the camp-sent me off to sleep. Really handy to town and There's a very good cafe close to the camp, just watch crossing the main road. We enjoyed the bush walks behind the camp. See if you can find the bridge.
