★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OMG this venue is to die for! We have been to many weddings at this venue and also hired this venue for many events. The experience that we had was amazing! The staff were fantastic and the manager Su-an was such a gem to work with! I highly recommend this place to anyone that is getting married or would like to have an event.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got married at Old Forest School and to say it is a special place is an understatement. From the moment you drive through the gates you are transported to another world - an intimate, whimsical and completely beautiful spot. It feels like entering the Secret Garden. Guests loved all of the different spaces to hang out in and the main reception area works so well. Lots of fantastic places to take photos and a couple of truly beautiful ceremony spots. The team were great to work with too. Thank you OFS for a spectacular day!

It was so cool to have a place where our guest could spend time enjoying our wedding ceremony, catching up, relaxing, playing games, eating, and listening to music etc. Both Su-an and Alistair at Old Forest School helped make our day amazing and we are so grateful for the way they opened up their space for us to enjoy! Su-an did an amazing job of making sure everything ran smoothly, with really good communication, making it feel relaxed and stress-free. Totally grateful for their approach – we would definitely recommend to others!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The moment my hubby to be and I stepped foot in this venue in January 2020 we immediately knew this venue was the one. We had visited other venues previously but learning about the history and seeing how passionate Su-an is about her gorgeous venue was one of the selling points for us. From the first visit to the big day Su-an was incredible, the communication and guidance was fabulous along with the event management on the day, Su-an worked along side our vendors to ensure everything ran so smoothly without error. I knew the minute I arrived at the venue that Su-an had everything under control and it was so exciting to go back and visit again and again keeping an eye out for the newest upgrades that they've worked on! This venue is beautiful and the team are continuously working behind the scenes to enhance its beauty even more. The guests can't stop raving about how stunning it is and all the little details from the outdoor bar to the school house to the lawn games! Everything is absolute perfection. We took the "Mystery Location" approach and none of our guests were aware of the venue. We had them meet at our local bus stop in Rotorua and bussed them out. The secret location was a huge hit for the guests and added a whole new level of excitement for them as the journey unfolded!!! Would definitely recommend! Alot of posts I had previously seen stressed about the set up time, as long as you're well organized and have a good team on board it's no problem! We had 7 close friends and family go in and set up and 4 stayed behind for pack down and it worked a treat. Also remember this venue is so naturally beautiful and you less is definitely more! Thank you so much Su-an and Alistair, your gorgeous space will always hold such a special place in our hearts!

I was lucky enough to use it as a location for short films and my TVNZ OnDemand series and it was an amazing experience, wonderful and helpful owners who made it such an easy set which really helps on stressful shoot days.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got married here just over a week ago and I still cannot get over how stunning the venue looked. Everyone commented on how amazing it was and how much fun they had. There are plenty of games to play and so many places to explore so everyone is kept entertained throughout the day.
As soon as we saw the venue we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Su-an and her team are incredibly experienced and knowledgeable and know how to plan a perfect day.
Wish we could have our day all over again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this venue was a real life dream!! the grounds are beautifully maintained, and the scenery is just unbeatable! surrounded by animals, forest and old buildings - indoor and outdoor entertaining is a super easy balance!
sue-an & alistair were brilliant hosts - both were friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with. they have so much passion and love for their home and the venue, it's obvious and shows! ?

The grounds are incredible and there are so many amazing photo locations on site. Definitely would recommend Old Forest School if you're needing a wedding venue in the Tauranga region.
