β β β β β Try their dry Riesling and Pinot Gris. Quite different from the 'mainstream' styles in NZ. Also Caroline's Pinot (delicate 2015 vintage and crowdpleasing 2016).

β β β β β Ostler Wine is my favourite brand of NZ wine and I am very particular. The Vintner's Drop in Kurow is just gorgeous, tasteful, historic and a perfect wee spot to do some wine tasting. Highly recommend to wine lovers.

β β β β β Thanks Jim for a fascinating visit.
Loved the wines especially the 2015 Riesling, the dessert Pinot Gris and all the Pinots Noirs.
Best of all, loved the stories about the different character of the vintages and the trials and eventual success in getting a vineyard and winery established in a new region.
Will drop by again when we get round to doing the Alps 2 Ocean bike ride.

β β β β β I contacted Ostler Wines to enquire about giving a wine-tasting experience as a Christmas gift for my parents. The staff were quick to reply and make arrangements for a visit and once settled upon a date, Jim Jerran entertained them in the Vintner's Drop before my parents picked out a couple of wines to take home. My parents had a terrific time and have recommended it to friends and family. On receipt of the invoice, I found the cost to be most reasonable.
