The equipment is complete, the price is super cheap, and you can park for free. Wifi is smooth. The tidy room needs to be strengthened. The oven and the refrigerator in the room we stayed in were very disgusting. The refrigerator had a terrible smell. The whole oven was greasy. I felt that there was food in the explosion before, and I even smelled the oven when I went to sleep. Disgusting smell, completely afraid to use. The bathroom drain hole also has the hair left by the predecessors not cleaned up.

Arrived on a 30 degree Saturday after a long drive from Christchurch. My studio apartment had no airconditioning and staff cannot call an aircon technicisn due to their internal "protocol". My room was 26.5 at 700pm and only fell to 23 degrees at 600am due to inadequate window opening and no internal building ventilation. Was told I could not cancel my reservation as no refund available on a weekend. The staff were as helpful as they could be but all studio apartments were affected. The alternative room I was offered also had no airconditioning. I was goven an electric fan. The on site laundry only accepts local eftpos cards as payment so I could not do any washing. No alternative was on offer except a local laundromat some distance away. Automated movement sensors in the flat for lighting do not switch off automatically and as there is no manual switch had to switch off lights at the circuit board in the room. No side tables for bed are another inconvenience as well as no shower caddy for shampoo etc and no bathroom shelving to hold your own toiletries. For the price this is totally substandard. I am not a student I am an international traveller and this poor service is outrageous. I should be able to cancel my stsy and get an immediate refund so I can book a 3.5 star hotel with working facilities elsewhere in Dunedin.

Excellent staff, new building, but rooms are a bit cramped. Keep in mind its a student accomodation built keeping them in mind. The room has a small kitchen and cooking utensils. Smart TV is new and is attached to Yahama soundbar. You can ask for iron table and iron at reception that is open from 8am-10pm. There is a big shared kitchen in lobby. Table Tennis and snooker tables are available too. The onsite laundry is digital and accepts credit cards (No coins/notes). $2 per wash cycle. We missed a small dinning table in the room, the exhaust in bath/toilet didnt work. All in all it was good experience but not great!!

We stayed in ground floor studio during summer holidays. Friendly staff and brand new facilities with our own kitchen, minimum cutlery and crockery, tv and internet. The main issue was that it overall seemed poorly designed with furniture in a weird setup requiring cramped/squeezing past, cheap shower and tiny washbasin, uncomfortable bed, ineffective rangehood, no ventilation and incredibly hot inside whatever the weather (window could only be opened a crack) and no cooling. In the end, it really was only appropriate for a student (ie an assumption you will put up with cheap discomfort), which was a pity really.

Neat and tidy room. The facilities are ridiculous. There were nothing in the room and kitchen were without cutlery’s. No towels or soap in the bathroom. When we addressed these concerns the response from staff were “ this is how we operate”. We had to request many times to get a plate to each. The advertisement in the website was everything is private but in fact everything is common and shared with students. We didn’t find the dealings as straight forward. It is a good option if they improve the service.
