Was warm and close to town. Owners very helpful.

Basic accommodation for our needs. 3 beds bath room and kitchen. Advertised spa and pool. Spa unavailable. Our arrival was in the dark so couldn't see or use pool. Modist decor beds clean comfortable. Shower clean good hot water pressure. Not enough towels, but happy to accommodate. Love the little milk bottle. Glass and desent amount for coffee and ?. Easy access for tired travellers. ??? Was good.

Jowana and the team at the Motels are fantastic! We booked accomodation for a team building event and there were 19 of us. We had several rooms, and the Motels occupy two sides of a busy road. This didn't worry us at all but would pay to check location of rooms if you want people to be located close to each other when booking more than one. More modern units on the opposite side of the road, and although some units may be dated, they are very clean, and have everything you need for a great stay. We had prizegiving and a shared meal outside the units under a gazebo we brought and it was no problem to put this up and have a wee celebration. Wonderful - would recommend!!

Sky didn’t work , oven didn’t , tv stopped working , pool wasn’t open in the middle of summer , they didn’t provide clean towels and the list goes on , definitely would not stay again , worst motel experience I’ve ever had ?

Average room facilities. Doors and windows not functioning properly as they are quite old. Bad Spa experience. Reception lady did not give us good impression as she charged extra but was promised before and also questioning about our small pet. We were not told before that we need to deposit $100.00 for the pet that is refundable. So totally it was not a good experience. We will not go back to that place.

Helpful friendly host and a nice welcome considering I arrived late after a long drive. Room and bathroom were basic but exceptionally clean . Nice comfy bed. An added bonus was to be able to bring my housetrained pet along. I’d highly recommend & I’ll definitely stay again . Thanks

We were so frustrated with the service of this hotel and I don't recommend people checking in here. I booked my room 1 month before the date of stay and when we arrived the owner said that all rooms are booked and the available room is the room underneath their house and she informed us that if we are happy to get that room underneath their house which will cause noise( footsteps noise) and we were in shocked hecause no owner would ever inform such thing. if they know that there is guests underneath they should be careful not to make any noise. obviously. On the other hand, another option she offered us a king room which is more expensive but I am not paying more than I budgeted. When we went to the room, the layout of the TV, bed, couch is frustrating. the TV is beside the bed facing sideways, the couch in in front of bed. How can we watch TV is the Tv is faced sideways. We cannot adjust the layout because the tv is connected to a certain wire which can't be moved in different place. We had sore neck the whole time watching tv. They never bothered to find a way to change this. It's so frustrating. I specifically chose this hotel because they have a pool but sadly the owner said that the pool is broken and she said that maybe we can use the pool the next day but still we were not able to use it. I have read reviews that their pool is always broken. If I know their pool would be broken, I would have changed the hotel as there are much cheaper rooms in the area compared to this hotel we stayed. The toilet bowl has poo when we arrived. All the kitchen stuff are old and cheap looking. The towels smell bad, only soap is provided. No shampoo or conditioner or toothpaste. The following day we check out, I didn't even get my refund and they told me when i check in that they will give the refund upon check out. They told me to put the keys in the mailbox and we left witjout our refund. I am waiting for my refund until now. If you come to think of it, what if that person needs the money urgently but the hotel is holding that money up whic is really bad. they don't have the right to do this because it's not their money and we already checked out. If you ever decided to stay in Otorohonga, find some other hotels if you can. I paid $150 and it's such a waste of money. We will NEVER stay in this hotel.

Booked this motel specifically for the pool for our 2 boys to swim in - Jan 2022. The Manager said the pool wasn’t clean enough and not ready for swimming. And to check back in the morning. Upon inspection that evening, the pool was perfectly fine, clear as crystal. We have owned a swimming pool for 10 years on Sydney so we know pools. My son called the next morning 8am (before 10am checkout for a quick swim) but was told the pool is still not clean. ??‍♀️ The family room had a strong musty smell. Carpet was sticky. The stove was not functioning properly and it blew a fuse in the unit that switched off the air conditioning…Initially the TV wasn’t working until we called and someone came to fix it. There was no Sky as they had advertised. The $100 bond was a shock and lucky we had extra to pay for that. If we had of known AAALLL these things, we would not have booked. On the plus side, customer service is friendly (but deceiving). Beds were clean and comfy. Bathroom and toilet was tidy. Thanks
