★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an issue with some new orvis wading boot I bought at the store in Queenstown. They did not have a replacement for my bottom of the range boot and I had 1 more week of 3 to fish before I had to go back to Sydney. Daniel & the orvis rep came to a deal. I get the top range boot with a Scientific Anglers Infinity fly line thrown in. Top notch line.
I agreed the boots are amazing. Not my fishing skills, alas.
When I opened the line at my friends house in Te Anau some one had put a backing line in the box. I was furious. Got onto the shop. Met them before my flight back to Sydney. Line out of stock. So it would be posted. This was early Mar 1 week before covid lockdown.
To cut an even longer story short, the line got lost twice due to covid issues, customs and post services. Plus the Queenstown shop closed.
Luckily Daniel had got a job with the Invercargill shop (because he is v good really no luck invloved). So they sent a new line as the 2nd sending had resulted in a lost line. Stephen the manager was really helpful too.
The new line arrived yesterday, early Dec. 9 months after the deal.
I will buy them a carton of beer. Such tenacity and professionalism beyond the call of duty. Thanks guys.
I can totally recommend the inegrity and great manner of this shop. It is a pity covid has done in the Queenstown operation. I hope it starts up again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poor service overall; went in to purchase a backpack to find they didn't have the size we were after. When speaking to the 'manager', her attitude was appalling. She queried why we were after a different size in the first place (my partner is six foot three, and they had pretty much only womens packs in the style we were after there) to then have her ask if we wanted her to order in a pack or "buy something online".
We wanted to try on the right pack and buy the pack from a store we shop frequently at. This was on a Sunday morning in an empty shop, and she spoke to us like we were an inconvenience and wasting her time. Well guess what lady, I've got plenty of time to leave you a poor review.
Im sorry for asking for help and won't be wasting your time again.

You assured me you could get a new one and ud give me a call when it arrived. One year on I still havent heard from you, I have followed up multiple times and you keep taking my name / number but never follow back up with us.
