Hello, I am the Manager of Palms Preschool. I have been working and studying with children since 2006. I enjoy sports, music and movies. I am also a father of three young boys. I believe that people are different because of their different backgrounds and experience. I respect and value all cultures and do our best to provide better environment and teaching methods to help children grow and develop to their best potential!

I am a qualified and passionate early childhood educator and a mother to a handsome little boy Oliver. My background and experience is with the Reggio Emilia philosophy. I strongly believe in inclusive education, allowing each child to flourish individually in their own way and time. I view children as being confident and capable learners and strive to provide safe and stimulating environments to encourage them to explore and extend their learning experiences. I also have a huge passion for music/singing and dance which enables me to confidently lead musical experiences.

Kia ora. My name is Jia Peng, people always call me Alice. As an early childhood teacher, I believe that all the children are creative and unique. They all have their own experience and way of thinking. All our children are effective learns, it is important as an adult to understand they have abilities to accomplish their goals and even go further and broader of their learning than what we can image. I believe there will be lots of new and fun adventures for us to explore and learn together with our children.

The current cook makes out-of-the-world meals, and my kid looking forward to going to preschool everyday. Activities always encourage kids’ curiosity and imagination. The parents and whanau are valued and respected here. Our elder child, who is now in the primary school has very precious and delightful memory with Palms Preschool; while our younger one cannot stop talking about the exciting things that he has done in the centre with us everyday. The children nurtured by Palms Preschool are positive, confident, full of curiosity and imagination. I am also very excited to see that the centre is extended this year and continue to grow. They enjoy the activities, fun walks, educational play and baking. They always look forward to go to school and have fun together with their friends.
Parents are always updated with their activities and with photos. ?
Teachers are kind and very welcoming. Always smile when ever we drop off our kids.
I say they are well taken care of.?
Highly recommend.
