★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and our first baby moved from Middlemore to Papakura birthing as baby lost her 9% weight with Jaundice and not latching enough. We were amazed by the service we received, simply boosted our confidence and retured home within just two days. We can't thank enough for all their lovely behaviour, service and motivation. God bless you all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Transferred from Middlemore Hospital, I had the best stay here. All the staff there were onto it and very friendly. Had alot of patience and didn't treat me like a number. The ladies taught me alot which had boosted my confidence. I must stop by one day to thank them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was in here 3 nights after the birth of my daughter. The staff are fantastic especially Kelly who was there with me all night! Food is good too. Rooms are old and classic - Don't expect 5 star modern facilities but they are nice and clean. Rooms are solid and a good size too. Very flexible as long as your not disrupting others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic staff who really helped my wife feel confident after she left. They care about the mother and baby equally and will do everything the can to make you feel relaxed. The facilities are aged and could do with an upgrade, but the service is still top notch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place to birth!! My mum had my 2 brothers here (in the 90s) and I had all three of my boys here. The staff here are so lovely. Always take very good care of you and their meals are decent. I've never felt disrespected, over looked or rushed, which is why I will always recommend Papakura Maternity Unit to any woman.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 22yrs ago March 1998 I gave birth to my big girl here. Hospitality and care was awesome. Breakfast was all set up in the dining room where you could help yourself, down the corridor on the right was where the fathers could help themselves to a hot drink and snacks and made all visitors feel welcomed. This place was the best ever to give birth where we were looked after with the best care possible. WAAY better service than Tauranga Hospital. I loved it here xx.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Welcomed with smiles and warm greetings transferred from hectic Middlemore hospital, it was a relief to be in a quiet area with your own room. Old fashioned with nothing to complain about really. It's my first time here and the staff are approachable and supportive. Even got to use a breast pump because my daughter had trouble latching. Would definitely recommend this place for postnatal care.
