About Papakura Transfer Station

We collect New Zealanders’ waste, recycle and reuse as much as we can, then safely dispose of what’s left in our modern, engineered landfills. There we capture over 90% of the landfill gas produced and convert it to electricity to feed back into the national grid. This helps power our growing electric truck fleet, which collects your waste.

Did a big trailer for what I thought was a good rate. Further super friendly team in the booth. I drove especially for Val and service. Was not disappointed.

Cardboard recycling is easy and very accessible. Lots of cages near the gate. Make sure you flatten you boxes before to take them. It will make life easier for you and them.

I have been using their services since 2015 when we moved to Karaka. Recently I have been speaking to a gent and a lady - both with South African accent… so courteous, polite and professional! Polar opposite to (few, not all) potty mouthed Karens I have dealt with earlier who personified the trash people bring in. While putting my cardboard into the cages, I cut my finger and requested the lady for a band aid. She helped me disinfect my injury and game me a wee bandage. Proves yet again, new immigrants can turn the face of your business around. God bless!

i rang and asked for a price to dump a trailer load of soil and was told $49 then i went there and dumped it was charged $350 i suggest this wasnt lying just not telling everything i suggest if you really have to go to this place repeat the information they are giving back to you ' so for me to dump this at your refuse station is going to cost me ___ right? does it depend on the weight? I controlled my temper but definitely felt a little hard done by

Great service. The lady at the weigh bridge was hands down the friendliest and most helpful person I’ve encountered in any service industry in a long time. She deserves a pay rise!

I went to this place to dispose my house garden waste, some general and recycling waste today. I called them before going there, the lady Sharon she was very friendly and explained everything very well. They charge you $49 for 0 -200Kgs. Very straight forward process you just driving in and they check the weight with your vehicle and trailer with the rubbish load and then you drive in to the pit dispose the rubbish then drive back to check the weight without the rubbish. Great service for the price and very friendly staff.
