★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is old and dated but the view makes up for it. We only stayed here for a night as we wanted to see stars and enjoy the lake.
We also truly appreciate the electric heated blanket.

Great location.
The room we had was a family room and there was only 2 of us so very spacious.
Great view of the lake and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great views from Unit 4 Tasman. Not as old as I thought, after reading other reviews. You get what you pay for, cheaper than other motels in the region. Many insects at night, so I had to shut the balcony windows by 7pm. Night sky was amazing just by stepping outside the room. Unit 4 appears to have been renovated not too long ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent location on the lake edge with lovely views. Units are old and worn but clean and functional. Didn't really use the kitchenette apart from breakfast, we walked to the local eateries for dinner. We were there in late spring and the units got very warm in the day and retained heat into the night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to stay. Cheap and cheerful. Older buildings but comfortable and opposite the water. I got lucky with the studio at $140 for the night. A self contained unit with both kitchenette and bathroom. Warm and private. It's Tekapo so low budget not that well catered for.
Helpful owner who was welcoming.
Worth considering.
