Owners Emma and James Conroy.Hi I am Emma, originally raised in the country on a farm. I have had a love for animals from a very young age. I studied as a Vet Nurse and practiced at a local clinic for 8 years. During my time there I also ran the puppy preschool for the clinic. I really enjoyed the time I get to spend with the puppies and their owners, helping them develop a great long lasting relationships.
James Conroy is my husband; he works in Palmerston North as IT support and will help out as required at Pet Stay. James has adoration for animals and loves to spend time walking, playing and enjoying their company.
We have two children Ashlyn and Jace. They have been around animals since they were born and are very good with them. They understand that they require respect and love. We have a few pets of our own, 2 cats, Zabnar and Ladlad, 2 ducks, Nigel and Bluey and a flock of chickens. We have always had pets and would never be without.
Here at Pet Stay we also have Mikayla M, Corinne, Mikhayla R and Bella caring for all pets. The staff here are very friendly and will take the best care of your pets. All of our staff love animals and care for them as if they are their own. We are always in touch with owners if we are worried in any way. You are always welcome to call for updates or you can text or send a message on messenger too. We know how hard it can be leaving your pets and we are happy to help make it a little easier in any way we can.
When you visit us here at Pet Stay, you will see Zabnar and Ladlad wandering around. We also have a few chickens and roosters who have decided they like the idea of hanging out in the yard. Because we have all these lovely animals around we really appreciate your cooperation with keeping dogs on leads when entering the property, to avoid them getting chased. Pet Stay is a lifestyle we love and we intend to keep the great reputation for convalescent care and socialisation for pets. We will always be looking at ways to improve the time your pets stay with us and welcome any suggestions you may have to improve our service to you. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dedication to the animals is top notch. Excellent to deal with and always obliging to help at short notice. Most important.... our dog loves to be there. The facility is excellent. My husband is an ex SPCA inspector and used to check out kennels as part as his job and he cannot praise it enough. We are both extremely impressed with every aspect of Petstay and feel very lucky it is in our area.

Such a caring and easy going team! And they have been so accommodating. Cannot express how grateful and impressed with the service that has been provided by Pet Stay. Just awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My kitten has had quite a few stays at Petstay and everytime they have been AMAZING. ☺️ They have amazing service, and always look after my kitten extremely well. He has been on antibiotics quite a few times that he has stayed, and it’s never been an issue. 10/10.
