I started here long term for a few months when I moved to Queenstown and shared the space with sum great people and some are still good mates today xxx great staff and loved the view from the spa defs recommend. If anyone's looking for a home away from home ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was waiting to find a home to rent with my two young children. The long termer deal really helped me to save for the bond. If you're in between houses and need somewhere to stay in the meantime just let pinewoods people know and they'll help you out. I was there for at least 7 months and staff are so friendly and caring. I would definitely go back if I needed to!

The good:
Friendly staff, decent location, mostly clean facilities, mostly quiet during the day, awesome to have dedicated shelving and fridge space in private room block.
The bad:
Noisy late at night - no monitoring of guests noise levels, private rooms really old looking, beds aren't comfy, showers need shelving.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here on a long term basis for a few months, the staff were awesome and always willing to help if I had any issues and were very accommodating. It is perfectly close to town, parking available and a great place to meet new people 10/10 will stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to say out of all the hostels I stayed in, Pinewood lodge has been the most comfortable stay I have had by a country mile.
I stayed at the property long term over summer and found myself finding it hard to leave! First and foremost having a place to park my car was a necessity (hard to find in Queenstown) and pinewood had plenty of free parking to offer.
Upon arrival I was greeted with the nicest and most enthusiastic young lady's at reception. They were as welcoming and accommodating as they were keen to help you with anything you were unsure of, not to mention good humoured.
The dorm rooms are spacious and have a decent sized lounge area, with epic views of the mountains surrounding it.
A quick walk or even shorter drive to town, a supermarket within a 5 minute walk and the town centre approximately 10 to 15 minutes away.
The premises was clean and the cleaning staff frequently maintained a high standard.
There are too many good things about my time in Pinewood to mention, but above all having the wonderful girls at reception who made the stay that much more enjoyable, with their banter and excellent customer service skills.
I would have no problem staying here again and look forward to the day I do!
