Azmina is our teacher with over nine years early childhood teaching experience. She is passionate about children and her passion and enthusiasm shines through in her caring and nurturing interactions with our children.
"Haere Mai everyone, I am Azmina. I originally come from the coastal city of Mombasa in Kenya. I came to New Zealand in 2003 and in addition to English and Kiswahili, I speak several indian dialects. I always wanted to be around children so embarking on an Early Childhood Education degree was a logical step in working towards achieving this dream. I joined Playday as a volunteer in Term 1, 2011 as part of my undergraduate program and have since loved being part of such a wonderful community. I strongly believe that every child is unique and special and am looking forward to working and sharing time with you all in this lovely, interactive and fun learning environment."

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best local daycare centre. The teachers are so dedicated. Although my son is in year 4 now, we still go to Playday's activities from time to time. Seems all the teachers are still there. Thinking about high turnover rate of staff, this is really a miracle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son absolutely adores Playday. The teachers are very kind and enthusiastic and support him in his development. The space and facilites are great - lots of outdoor area to play on and explore, and inside an amazing collection of toys, books, dressup clothes and more. Highly recommend!

We love the environment, the teaching team are fantastic and really cater to younger children, great at assisting with separation anxiety, toilet training and having fun with the kids while they are at Playday. There is always something new and exciting for the children to do. As a family, we have also loved the portfolios that Playday provides, showing photos and telling stories about what your children have been up to. My big kids still love to look at theirs. I would highly recommend Playday for anyone who is looking for care for their children.

The indoor and outdoor areas have a very good variety of activities and provide a safe and comfortable environment for little ones to explore. It was fantastic to watch my shy girl fit in so easily and grow so much in confidence while she was there. Thanks Playday!
