About BestStart Remuera Road
We are a New Zealand-owned charity with preschools, kindergarten (kindy), Montessori and early-childhood home-based services nationwide.
BestStart has over 260 early childhood centres from Whangarei to Invercargill. All our centres use the New Zealand curriculum Te WhΔriki, preparing children for their formal education at school. Our trained teachers support children to belong, thrive and achieve through the world-recognised philosophy of learning through play.

β β β β β The Center: Clean and well maintained. It has everything the child needs for educational, physical, emotional, and social development. Both indoor and outdoor areas are spacious which is very good.
The Team: Very reliable, friendly and respectful. I must also say that they're very considerate and understanding (more than 5 stars for me!) We love their approach of partnering with parents in helping with the child's development. Their concern is very genuine. They're transparent in providing feedback and would offer options to help the child.
Health & Safety: They have guidelines in place for risks/accidents/illness. Their in-house food choices are very healthy. They also cater for kids with food preference/restrictions.

β β β β β Being from another country and not really knowing what to expect when it comes to education and reliability i can honestly say I am blown away by the amazing staff and structures they have in place.
The centre is multi cultural which is great as the kids have diversity, they get to experience other cultures and celebrate with their friends on special days!
My sons speech and overall knowledge has improved immense amounts since being part of Best Start Remuera, the staff go out of their way to assist you in improving your little ones as well..
Since the first day I dropped him off it has felt like home away from home ,I know he is safe,cared for and loved!

β β β β β My little girl attends BestStart Remuera and I am very happy and appreciative of the care she receives. She loves her teachers and I love the fact that they are so engaging with both the kids and their families.
During the lockdown, my girl either had a daily activity shared with her or a zoom call. There always is a recording of the call available if weβre unable to make the call.
The communication throughout the lockdown has been remarkable. I have known the next steps before even asking.
I truly recommend BestStart Remuera for the best and nurturing care of your beloved kids!

β β β β β My boy started when He just turn 1year old. The center is nice and big space for toddler to explore and do lots of activities.
And teachers are amazing, they very caring kids with love and also good communication with parents which is most important. I can look up all the photos what my boy does at center everyday, how they play with other friends. It's such a joy !!
We so blessed found a perfect place for my boy to eat, sleep and playing happily.

β β β β β Lovely friendly professional well trained staff. My baby is always happy to go to the center and loves being there. Nice big upgraded play area specially designed for the under two children. They also provide healthy well balanced meals with lots of variety suitable for the little ones. Thank you for providing a happy place for my child.

β β β β β I have been very impressed with BestStart Remuera from the first day my daughter started. The teachers and management are so supportive and professional. When I pick up my daughter it's really nice seeing them all work well together and collectively to make life, work, and kids learning fun. They have made a big difference in my daughters learning and it's been great to see her happy. I would recommend BestStart to anyone who wants their child to be fully stimulated with lots of learning, together with being challenged to think outside the box. I would recommend BestStart Remuera to anyone looking for childcare.

β β β β β My boy has recently joined the setting. From the very first visit , he was welcomed warmly and hence he has had no problems adjusting at all . He loves his nursery and is always looking forward to going everyday and has made several friends . All the staff members are kind and compassionate and that reflects in the behaviour of all the children at the setting . Thank you !

β β β β β BestStart Remuera Rd is brilliant. We moved our daughter here in Jan 2021 as we were looking for a more stimulating kindergarten environment with daycare hours. It has far exceeded our expectations. The staff are wonderful - hard working, kind and fun. They take their responsibility as educators seriously and go above and beyond to organise engaging learning opportunities, always responding to the children's current interests. They really see each child as individuals, and make them all feel special and celebrated. They made a huge effort to welcome and settle our daughter. She is absolutely thriving here, and has made lovely friends. There is plenty of room indoor and outdoors - with a lovely new outdoor play area and staff make great effort to regularly change the indoor area to keep it exciting for the children.
It is a pleasure to deal with all the staff here, it feels like we are part of the family.
I have highly recommended this centre to friends and colleagues.
