Our team is made of experienced, problem solving and responsive plumbers, gas fitters, drain layers and technicians whose aim is to deliver excellent customer service with quality results. We have a high standard of work that is upheld throughout each job we tackle, no matter how big or small.
Both owners Roy and Matthew Betts have over 20 years of experience in management and practical fields so you can be sure of accuracy and attention in all aspects of our work. Between Roy, Matthew and the Plumbtech team, we have experience in the New Zealand domestic, commercial and industrial plumbing, gas fitting and drainage industries. Along with this we have further capabilities in water, storm water, sewer drainage, excavation and civil construction in both maintenance and contracting disciplines.

Three generations have been involved and Matthew's son Bayley has done work for me as part of the company. The service has been excellent and consistent. These guys know what they're doing. If you are looking for the best, you won't want to go past Plumbtech! They can help you with your gas bottles too. Keep up the great work guys!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got infinity gas installed with these guys through a deal with Nova Energy (payment gets added onto my energy bills) which was done really well, then these guys tried to charge me over $800 for work that was never quoted for. When I ask them (emailed three different people in the company) to outline what they actually did, they didn't respond then a month later send me the same bill asking me to pay again! Pretty sure they are double dipping here... I have given them plenty opportunity to justify their bill but they won't. Realistically you can't charge for work that wasn't asked for or agreed to or quoted for... I would consider paying if they could actually explain what the charges were for but I don't think I'm legally bound to do this!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plumbtech Taranaki are the most dishonest tradespeople I have ever dealt with, silly me didn’t get a quote before getting job done as I assumed it was a simple job. When I was invoiced they added on extra hours that they didn’t even do and charging for two workers overcharged me by at least $400. They also overcharged me hundreds of dollars for parts that shouldn’t have cost so much. I queried the invoice several times but just got fobbed off, I ended up paying it because have had a recent bereavement and couldn’t deal with the added stress of sorting it out, otherwise I would have taken them to court. Also my system isn’t working correctly since they did the job but I will just get a different company to sort it as I would never want to deal with them again or trust them to do the right thing. Would give them a 0/10 if possible, wish I’d read reviews on them before I used them. My old plumber has retired so I am looking for a new dependable plumber, they have missed out on loads of future work from me, Plumbtech are the worst plumbers in NP

I did not feel at all uncomfortable having them in my home. The quote & invoice system was very efficient and the office staff were very responsive. 100% would use again in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I chose to go with Plumbtech to install a woodburner in my home because, from the first point of contact, Matthew Betts offered fast, friendly service, and the whole installation was done before anyone else was prepared to visit my South Taranaki home for an assessment and quote. He catered for my specific needs that were beyond their usual range. The young men who installed my fire did a faultless job and l was especially impressed with the safety measures they took while on the roof. This was demonstrative of an employer who cared for the wellbeing of his staff. I highly recommend Plumbtech and they were a joy to deal with.
