 Good place for a short break. Nice view. Well a garbage can and a picnic corner.

Road a little scary at times with some large slips taking the road with it.. worth the drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This scenic view point is located at the entry point to Junction Road, small parking area with pretty good vantage view of the Pohokura Saddle. Please be cautious of the traffic around given its location. As this is a small parking area, it has only a small picnic table.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located along the Forgotten World Highway this is the second saddle from the Strathmore side.
Named after a Maori chief The view overlooks what used to be the railway construction camp in 1910 and three Maori pa sites.
There is a picnic table but be careful of traffic.
