Absolutely love this little Gem of a property. Nice and private away from hustle and bustle but not too far that getting anywhere is a problem. Brilliant hosts, warm and welcoming

The best place if it is just you and one other but there is an option for a fold out bed too. So comfy, warm and inviting. Lovely environs, close to New Plymouth and Taranaki. Wallace the sheep will greet you from the field and the chooks will provide eggs for your breakfast if you stay more than 2 nights. Delightful hostess and an all-round great place to stay.

Starting with the location, everything was just perfect. When we arrived, Duncan was already there to welcome us and walk us through the cottage. All the amenities you might ever need/think of were there: microwave, toaster, kettle, board games, TV, DVD player... you name it. Fancy a coffee? Just pick a capsule (from 4-5 different varieties) and put it on the Nespresso machine; cold night? no worries, just switch the electric blanket on; wet towels? hang them on the heated towel rack... We were told they would provide "some fresh eggs" for breakfast. Really? We were spoiled with plenty of eggs (actually, we were able to meet & greet the hens), bacon, milk, bread, butter, cereals, chocolate, instant coffee, tea... Kids friendly is just another understatement. Shortly after we settled in, my son was playing soccer with Duncan and Charlotte's children Ollie and Alex, trading cards, etc. and my little daughter found a big box full of toys to play with. In summary, our initial (high) expectations were greatly exceeded.

Loved this private, cute and well equipped cottage with more then we could ever have expected regarding kitchen supplies and food. Will definitely be back again ?

What a great little place, hidden away, so peaceful and beautifully decorated in the Post Office theme. Meet the chickens and the sheep. Breakfast provided was amazing, fresh eggs from the girls and a pack of bacon with bread, jam and cereals. The weather packed it in when we stayed so we enjoyed our last afternoon snuggled up in front of the TV. Netflix and a choice of dvds keep us quiet. The hosts, Charlotte and Duncan were lovely people and we’d definitely choose to stay there again. I heartily recommend to all ?.
