 Very light and also suitable for wheelchairs! Nice view of the volcano.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Within the easy short 15 minutes walk to viewing platform, you will walk into lush lowland forest with great variety of vegetation. The track ends at a viewing platform over Potaema Swamp. There's a picnic table near the parking, although it is not clearly visible from the parking. No toilet facility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little walk/push. I'm a wheelchair user and did need a few shoves/pushes as there is a constant gradient to the viewing platform. I also used my Freewheel as the track is gravelly until you hit the boardwalk. Definitely worth the effort when you get to the platform, might even get a fine day and see Mt Taranaki
