β β β β β I went to Profesionails in Queensgate Mall, Lower Hutt with a friend. It was just a last minute decision, and my friend had good things to say about it since her last experience.
It was my first time there, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Anyways, we were immediately welcomed and required no booking. They took our payment before the service and we got started.
We both friends sat next to each other and the artist started working on our nails. No sooner than 2 minutes, I started bleeding, I wasn't sure what happened. The artist didn't explain me as well and they started talking amongst themselves in their own language.
I wasn't sure what exactly they were talking and I asked could you please translate and they said that my artist was scared ? but they will continue. Anyways, she continued doing the process and thankfully the colors that I wanted was there.
My finger didn't stop bleeding until the very end, while all my other nails were painted. The artist continued applying whatever liquid solution she had to stop the bleeding. I asked her was it safe to apply the polish on a wound, she couldn't understand me but gestured she would apply the polish around the area, which was comforting atleast.
Anyways since I was not sure, I didn't know whether to expect some kind of discount, or cash back or a goodwill gesture. The artist apologized. Our nails were painted and we were happy with colors and we girls had a good day, so I don't know how to rate the experience. I leave it up to you guys to decide.
The gel polish costed me $55.

β β β β β It's cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for. I had gel on naturally long nails. They looked nice when I left the salon, but cracked and chipped after just a few days. My nails are peeling, some have vertical splits, and have all had to be cut right down to start again. I won't be using this business again.

β β β β β Really disappointed with this professional nail salon near the warehouse. Understand now why it was so empty when all the others in the mall was fully packed. I called the day before to get prices, then when i turn up on the day they tell me a higher price. The nail salon downstairs near chemist was half the price! (But unfortunately fully booked out, the day I went). I found the young lady that I assumed was in charge spent all her time doing her friends nails and chatting with her the whole time. Only two other staff members there, so not a lot to serve customers. Nail job was average but certainly not worth the price. This company could do so well if they put more effort in everything. Definitely will not be going back.

β β β β β I went in today asking for black French tip and I had to tell the lady 3 times what I wanted and she still painted them white! Not happy I spent a lot of money and I did not get what I asked for! I will not be back! They also charged extra for a βmanicureβ that was only on one nail??! And when removing my previous gel they were very rough and it hurt!
I am not happy with my nails at all!!
