★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Pukekos Nest Café is really nice. The service is definitely friendly. After a short time of waiting we get our food fast. The burger was big and hot. The ingredients were fresh and tasty also the combination. The service offered also boxes for foot which we would like to take away afterwards.

I would've given more stars, but sadly the service of one waitress in particular really let down the friendly & happy environment this Cafe usually upholds. Due to this waitress making the wrong drink one of my family members had ordered, and us asking her to go back and correct the drink, she came back with all of our drinks, harshly placing the tray of drinks onto the table, not uttering a word or acknowledging our presence. Not at all nice or friendly, rather the opposite, rude and disrespectful. Ruining a family outing.
This same waitress was also heard from out the back in the kitchen swearing loudly and complaining of another customer. Not something you should be able to hear, especially when I had my 3 month old daughter with me.
Just a thought, this waitress should practice having more patience, especially in these current times of having to wear a mask, so maybe it should be made protocol to relay orders back to the customer to avoid this type of rudeness in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant little place , reasonably priced, customer service is ok...only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 ,is it needs a little TLC , trim and cut back trees and hedges, repaint out side, tidy and paint bathroom outside, paint inside, rearrange layout of setting inside and maybe replace table and chairs inside...and this place would be pumping customer's... heaps of potential ...must go to... especially in spring and summer

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff and was thankful that the cafe was open in the afternoon when others were already closed, as I was passing through Whanganui feeling hungry for a late lunch on Monday. (Please all staff wear your medical masks, however, as you are very good with checking every customer's vaccine passes...) Do spruce up the decor, otherwise good, thanks.
