★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great lodge, well maintained with excellent kitchen facilities. You don't need to worry about bringing pots and pans - they have it all. Although, make sure to bring warm gear as it can be quite cold in the winter.
The lodge is also situated close to a great short loop track. I recommend doing the walk at dawn - the birds dawn chorus is beautiful! So many native birds!
