★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed the most wonderful, pampered long weekend here, from the in room massages, watching gliders take off and land in the beautiful valley, to enjoying the delicious restaurant quality homemade food. Samantha was the epitome of the ideal host, always available when needed and never intrusive. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for those wanting a luxurious, self-indulgent, getaway to recharge your batteries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the friendly and efficient communication all the way to the thoughtful parting gift of KN95 masks for our flight home, our association with Sam was way beyond expectations. What a wonderful home-away-from-home for us! Glamorous, impeccable, stylish and utterly comfortable - this home and the hosts cannot be rated highly enough in my view (and I have experienced Airbnb hospitality around the world). Gorgeous meals, professionally prepared and served; extraordinary views of Auckland for miles and miles from the apartment (we were there on a Sunday and we got to see gliders swirling around in the sky nearby); beautiful linens and decor; and just the right combination of comforting and exciting in this place. Spacious bedrooms with extremely comfortable beds and good wardrobes, gracious living area with Netflix provided and generous deck for dining al fresco or just relaxing and looking at the spectacular scenery, well-stocked kitchenette, and luxurious bathroom. Well done, Sam and Hamish - this is as close to perfect as is possible!

The host was extremely friendly and accommodating, She would have wonderful conversations regarding any/everything. Answered any and all questions we had just to put our minds at ease.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quail Lodge was a fantastic location and lovely tranquil place, where we felt like we were on top of the world. Samantha was a fabulous host, the breakfasts were delicious (especially the whitebait fritters) and we treated ourselves to a few of her home cooked dinners which were out of this world! Really loved the extra touches and location, and of course the main star of the Lodge, the beautiful retrodoodle Ollie. Thanks so much for having us and hope to see you again soon :)
