β β β β β Best fish and chip shop burgers we've had. Incredibly good value. Only problem was we were so full from the burgers we couldn't fit in any of the chips. Highly recommend. So good. Will be a regular now.

β β β β β This fish shop does good selection of Chinese meals for $12.50.
Crumbed fish for $4.10 and it's warehou fish which is meaty and has taste to it.
Not like the terrible fish n chip shop in the suburb of Northland.
Very hard to find good priced and good quality fish shop in Wellington City. They all seem to want to rip you off.
This fish shop is now on my "preferred" list.
Go here if you can't be bothered cooking and you want a reasonable priced feed.

β β β β β So I have been here twice. Please note: I am exempt from wearing a face mask due to health reasons.
My first experience here (maskless) was about 4 weeks ago and it was awesome! I was greeted and served by a nice elderly male and he was very kind and food was meh and if I were to rate it, Iβd give it a 3/10. I give it this rating generously as it was on-time and I had awesome customer service.
My second experience which was tonight, I was greeted by a middle-aged female (I was maskless) and presented my mask exemption to her and asked if it would be okay to remain in the shop, she gave me a lecture before allowing me to stay there.
I waited about 20 minutes for my food to be ready. Whilst waiting I could hear this woman muttering things under her breath and making snarky comments about how inconsiderate I was to other customers and staff, for not wearing a mask.
Once I received my food, she advised me that in future, I could come in to order my food but would need to remain outside whilst waiting for it.
Now I found this experience horribly handled and she could have addressed this more professionally.
I definitely will not be returning to this shop despite it being the closest fish βnβ chip shop to my home.
Absolutely disgusted. On a more positive note: food was still meh but more of a 5/10.

β β β β β I had hoped for better based on the reviews but unfortunately this is not the best fish & chips. The chips had that old refridgerated potato texture and flavour. The crumbed fish was so flattened that there were places where it was just hard, compacted breadcrumbs. The banana fritter was extremely overripe and sweet, which proved to be inedible.
I will just give an extra star for the quick and friendly service.
