★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pretty wild shingle beach with long walks, interesting caves and places to explore. Care needs to be taken when swimming. The beach shelves quite steeply and the surf can be heavy at times. There is a more sheltered cove accessed by steps at the northern end of the beach called Monkey Bay. Also at northern end is a Dept of Conservation Camp site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to hang out during summer. Many people can do camping and tenting in the area allocated. I do find the sea bit rough with big strong waves, but I have seen people swimming in the sea. It is also a long beach for walks. There is also many batches along the beach.
