★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small compact clean and tidy. new bathroom. Carpet needs replacing maybe this is on the list of upgrade. Very comfortable bed and close to all amenities

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Comfortable and undergoing some refurbishment. Two great community kitchens. Missing the extras like shampoo and tissues. No ventilation in bathrooms, and nothing in shower to place soap, etc. on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little older but spotlessly clean. Friendly service and accommodates traveling pets with some minor and sensible conditions. Great to have a shower and a night of relative luxury before hitting the first ferry the next day. Although on the road the noise is minor and sleep was not a problem. Will come here again now I know they cater for us slightly less-welcome travelers with pets in tow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Owner was awful. Said he had a booking problem and will move us 'to his house down the road'. Assuming it would just be our group. There were TWO random people living in the house, and it was an extra 1.6km away. We had planned to walk to our festival. He then argued and treated us awfully, we are three 22 year old girls. Told us to do the walk in the dark and that we either take it or he will kick us out of the house. We had no option. It was 10.30pm at night and we were outside, so dangerous and he didn't care. He then tried to scam us and make us pay the amount AGAIN saying his eftpos didn't work. LIAR

Dirty dishes in cupboard, no shampoo etc just soap. Only 2 sachets coffee for 3 guest unit.
It is AA recommended!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thoroughly enjoyed my 9 day stay at Raymar and was sad to hand my key over today, although I'm happy to say I have acquired permanent work and accommodation in the region.
Staff were welcoming and it was nice to stay somewhere where a certain level of polite conduct was both afforded and expected. Certainly made a nice change from the some of the unruly accommodation I've encountered in recent times. Was nice not to be woken up by loud music or guests at all hours. Other guests were great company while in the communal areas and privacy is well respected.
Communal areas and the room itself were high standard in terms of cleanliness. With regard to features, the room came with everything I needed such as own bathroom, lamp, jug, toaster, cutlery, crockery, television, heater, pedestal fan etc with access to a full kitchen just a few steps away from any room.
In terms of location, you're virtually in the CBD with takeaways and a dairy immediately across the road.
Would definitely recommend Raymar for anyone wanting a quiet break away. If you're only interested in partying or using the place as a hang out spot for your mates, you're going to find yourself out of luck.
