★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot but boy I did not like the bridge due to my fear of heights. Plenty of parking and there are toilets. There are also picnic tables. But the blue pool under the bridge is magnificent. Very good walking tracks branch out from the other side of the bridge. That is if you have the nerve to cross

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Part of river walk. When l did the walk it poured down so l didn't get the best out of the walk but defo worth doing the 12 odd kilometre tramp. Toilet at North end of walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Major Jones Bridge is the way to go insides the forest of the Tongariro. This is the best experience of hanging bride if you are new to walk in the hanging bridge. I love the Tongariro River Trails. It’s nice walking way. It’s 1 hour and 30 minutes walking around the river trails. There are lots of free space for car parking. There is a unisex toilet near to the entrance but no water and no tissues. You need to carry your tissues yourself. It will give you good refreshments of long traveling in the SH-1.
