★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here for a drink and afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and welcoming as well very efficient. We ordered a couple of sides and the portions were very generous. Interesting memorabilia on the wall celebrating Matamata's sports history.

Dusty, dirty tables, messy floors.
Soft chicken tacos, more like chewy microwaved for too long tacos. Sticky chicken, had dry coleslaw and dry coconut rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff and good service. Food was yummy - pub style. The kids loved all the interesting wall displays and the awesome mural outside. Great spot to eat before/after your visit to Hobbiton.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I stopped in here today for lunch as we drove through Matamata. We ordered onion rings and the crispy chicken - both were excellent! The atmosphere was pleasant, with comfortable seating and plenty of space. We would definitely go back if the opportunity arose.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really delicious meals and entrée. 2 adults & 1 child. We got the specials board of deserts the cookie monster & chocolate brownie which sold out really quickly. Have been to both matamata & morrinsville bars and will definitely be back again. Was pretty busy when we came in on Friday night and all our meals & drinks were perfect. Keep up the good work team.
