★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called contacted Matt, who I think is the owner, and the same day he was able to allow for my appliance to be delivered and assessed. Contact was prompt (even though I was difficult to contact!), cost effective and efficient. Highly recommend. Five stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible service and faulty appliances! Do not buy from these people they are con artists! We purchased 4 appliances from cares appliances. Two have needed reparing twice and the oven only half worked and has needed to be repaired. The dishwasher needed reparing twice and we have since replaced it. The dryer has been repaired twice and I have just had to purchase a new one. This is all within 7 months of purchase. They refuse to refund money or repair products! Commerce commission here i come! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM CARES APPLIANCES!!! THEY ARE CON ARTISTS.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our fridge died a day before we were due to leave on vacation and we dropped into cares on the off chance we'd find a replacement that could be delivered at short notice. I have to say the service was excellent and that cares really came through for us, the new Samsung fridge we bought was delivered the same day at EXACTLY the time we agreed on. Brilliant all round.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We bought a large fridge freezer avd a washing machine. Both refurbished and at a great price including a 6 month warranty. Cheaper (significantly) and better for the environment than new. Delivery was easy and the guys who delivered them installed it and gave us advice on how to work them. Would recommend and will be returning for a dryer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good service. This second hand appliance store is no frills. Clean and tidy and all the whiteware was well presented. The lady we dealt with was helpful and efficient. They delivered the washing machine, fitted it and took the old one away at no extra charge which was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to be able to give this place a good review, however the washing machine that I purchased was faulty. I persevered for 2 weeks hoping that i would find a setting on the machine that worked properly and wouldn't take 3 hours plus another 45 m to spin the clothes dry.
after a bit of delay the faulty washing machine was taken back for repair, however... there was no apparent fault encountered. at this point I had already been without a washing machine for 2 weeks (even their loner machine didn't work).
I asked the company for a refund which anyone is entitled to do under the consumer guarantee act nz when an item does not work as it should.... I was immediately faced with a defensive and blatant NO. after further deliberation and refusal to refund my $795 I paid for a second washing machine I have had to make a formal complaint to the commerce commission, and lodge a claim with the disputes tribunal to attempt to get my money back.
please also be aware that this company is in liquidation since 2019, and a new company has since been started, however still trading under cares appliances Ltd.
BE WARNED, AGGOGANCE LOOSES CUSTOMERS

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Martin Fox works for cares appliances and now Refresh Appliances as a workshop service repairman, His reviews are conflict of interest to the business very disappointed and i wouldnt use this service ever as they are rip off con artists. Cares went into liquidation for a reason because Matt the owner is a shifty slimey con artist aswell. Also second hand parts they use are normally only to last the warranty period then costs fall onto the consumer. Thats how these places sting you more. Always buy new will. Last long and not cost you as much in the long run!!
