“RELISH for FOOD” is the corporate/functions-catering arm of the Wellington CBD’s iconic Relish Café (see “About Relish”). We are based in the Capital on the Quay in Lambton Quay and regularly provide catering for leading private and public sector offices in Wellington.
Wellington CBD’s most discerning professionals constantly audit our food for quality, presentation, and value. The food that forms our catering bears the same quality assurance, attention to detail, and targeted design and presentation that have been the hallmarks of the success of the RELISH name amongst the CBD professionals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not recommend anyone to go there, because the owner’s attitude is very rude. I was nearly to get some food from this place while waiting for my friend and talking on phone, but owner came to me and told me that it is not allowed to sit and only talk here (Center of Wellington!!). He didn’t offer any food, any drink to attract a costumer. What a rude and not professional attitude. This is definitely huge minus to his business’s karma.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Relish have catered for work events I’ve been at twice now. Both times they were provided a clear and detailed list of my food allergies and both times they’ve sent over food for me containing things clearly stated on the list of things I’m allergic to (sliced tomato in a sandwich for someone allergic to tomato? Really?). What they provided for the rest of the group looked pretty decent. Probably just not a good fit for special requirements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used Relish for the first time, for an employee farewell at at our office yesterday.
Everyone was very impressed! So many positive comments. Presentation was beautiful, all the food was really delicious and the small tubs of condiments were a nice addition. The food was delivered on time and hot. It was hard to chose from the menu, with so many appealing options, but we were very happy with our selection.
Thank you very much and we will most certainly be in touch for our next function.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite conceivably the worst Chicken Ceasar Salad I have ever had. Virtually inedible. The only reason I ate it is because I don't have time to take it back and throw it at them or get something else. The salad has no chicken and consists of a tiny few slices of lettuce, bacon, big fat toasted pieces of bread, supposedly croutons a soft poached egg and no dressing. Fifteen freaking dollars! What a rip. I will never ever ever go back to that place and will discourage as many people as I know not to go there. Absolutely disgusting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had breakfast here this morning. Good food, service and price - pit about no hash browns!
The service was great - as soon as we entered the area, the staff (and presumably the manager) gave us a very warm welcome. The prices looked reasonable for a breakfast cafe. My wife and I both ordered scrambled eggs on toast. The food came fairly promptly. The bread was absolutely perfect. The cheap cafes do cheap toast, the fancy ones do ciabatta that is sometimes very very tough/hard/crunchy, but the bread here was absolutely perfect.
The bacon was not streaky, it was shoulder/middle bacon. I liked that it was not over cooked and became tough like leather. It as still juicy.
To our surprise they did not do hash browns! Which is a real shame.
Coffee was good. The banana/blueberry smoothie was ok, but tasted quite watery. At least we know it wasn’t drowned in sugar! Not sure if I would buy it next time.
Overall it was nice, nothing fancy, but they served us well and the main scrambled eggs on toast was great too.
