★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whenever I'm in Auckland - always visit Retreat in Newmarket to stock up on candles. Difficult to pick a favourite scent but family particularly likes Chanel No5 type. Friendly and helpful service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great shop for candles, oils and diffusers. There is such a wide variety and it's a great place to browse. The candles aren't just the run of the mill, there are some really unique candles here including wooden wick candles.

In less than half an hour from the moment we lighted the candle that came with it, the glass broke!
When they returned it, apart from the fact it was a low quality item and was not properly designed for the job, the behavior of the owner was extremely rude and literally told them that they will not apologize for their faulty item and blame them for what happened to the item!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store smells incredible and the variety of beautiful candles and fragrances is fantastic. The service here is also very friendly and welcoming. They also have a big range of great gift cards so this is the perfect place for gift shopping too. Well worth a visit.
