β β β β β Good yum cha but terrible service. Our table was missing a bowl so we asked a waitress for another one, and also if she could refill the empty (and dirty) soy sauce pourer. She took the pourer and came back only once to sell food.
We were told to drink water using tea cups, not really a problem just a lil weird.
Some staff were just flat out rude to customers.
Overall could do with more staff customer service training.

β β β β β Really dated and old hotel. Run down and rooms worn out and fairly dirty bathroom and towels. Not going back, does'nt feel welcoming at all.

β β β β β This is the worst service I have experienced in my life! I ordered food and waiting for more than 30-40 minutes! Whatβs more when you having lunch there please have a look at their kitchen. I suppose you will not be there again.

β β β β β Easily the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The male owner once accused my grandad of dining and dashing. They harassed him for a long time before realising they had the wrong man. They never even apologised! Other times they have blatantly ignored us in line and seated people who came in after us. The women who is the manager/owner is unbelievably rude. The food is average at best. If youβre looking for a Yum Cha place Iβd recommend Regal or Dragons. My entire extended family and I will never be dining here again.

β β β β β It's all about using money to buy rude service and rubbish food. I really don't recommend going to this place, because they are arrogant, only he has something to eat here, why punish yourself with your own money!

β β β β β Popped In for yum cha lunch. Food selection and food was OK but service was very average and less than welcome. Decor in this place has not charged in 20 years, same furniture same pictures even. 10 years overdue for makeover.

β β β β β Wow a hidden treasure!!! By chance as we were travelling around looking for a place to have a very late lunch. We got into the restaurant half an hour before closing time. That's all we needed... The service was quick and efficient, the remaining Yum Cha plates were still nice and hot, and delicious. My favourites were the Beef Tendons, Steamed Rice Rolls, and the Turnip Cake...oh and the Rice/meat wrapped in a leaf. Very happy with the reasonable prices too, will definitely come back with the family. This experience took me back to having Yum Cha in Hong Kong, and in China. The hustle, and flow, the smells, the people, the food, the chatter, and atmosphere...an awesome experience, Thank you ?

β β β β β Normally we love coming in to Riddiford, but today was something else. We waited 10 minutes before getting served which was okay, but we were then ignored for a total of 22 minutes (we timed it) before getting a tiny plate of food. We were completely ignored by every staff member, they didnβt offer us anything until we pulled people aside asking for specific things. Overall we ate three things over an hour and a half and one of those things we had to ask for. We continued to be ignored for the rest of our stay, while new tables of people were being sat and served consistently. Not too sure what happened there, but seriously, do better.
