Up , you can feel the tension fall away as you are captivated by the view. . Accommodation - Every detail has been well planned and thought through, to make this a wonderful experience. Your hosts are amazing; their knowledge of the area with places to ride and visit , is outstanding . They are passionate riders themselves and have travelled extensively throughout NZ and overseas. Can’t wait to visit again .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family fell in love with Ruakaka a few years ago, and have stayed in a couple of local spots since then. We feel the very best way to see Beautiful Bream Bay is from the top if the hill at Riders Rest. The spectacular panoramic scenery is matched by Carolyn and Kel's warm hospitality. Accommodation is beautifully laid out for relaxation - we never want to leave!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have traveled a lot for business and on the bikes, this is hands down the best place I have ever stayed. Kel and Carolyn became friends more than hosts in the few days we were there, I HIGHLY recommend Riders Rest.
Accommodating and helpful while still giving us our space and privacy, a perfect balance.
Also very safe and secure for bikes and belongings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were lucky enough to stay here over New Years and had a lovely time! I love seeing the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from this stunning place. I highly recommend staying at Riders' Rest when you are visiting Te Tai Tokerau or even wanting a little break away from home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a awesome time over New Years at Riders Rest. Great facilities with outdoor cooking, shower and bath as well as comfortable sleeping and social spaces. Stunning views are a highlight with a close drive to restaurants and bars with the Ruakaka surf beach approx 7mins drive away. Lots of things to do in nearby Whangarei if your after some cultural experiences galleries and museums, good food and Maori cultural experiences + waterfront sculpture walk. I would definitely recommend staying here, summer or winter ?
