We, at Rising Stars Childcare, believe that early childhood lays the foundation for future learning and development and that childhood experiences and memories greatly influence a person's life.
About Rising Stars Henderson Early Childcare Centre
The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whariki, is the basis of our Centre curriculum, and so all aspects of our teaching-learning practices are guided by its four broad principles namely: Empowerment; Holistic Development; Family and Community; and Relationships.
We deliver a curriculum that empowers young children to be confident and competent learners. The framework for this curriculum is set out in Te Whariki. They are based on the principles, strands, goals and learning outcomes found In Te Whariki. Our teachers take into account the interests, strengths and needs of the individual child and the aspirations of parents, whanau and community.
Te Whariki supports every child to be strong in his identity, language and culture.
Children learn a huge amount in the first years of their lives. Participating in quality early childhood education strengthens this early learning and lays a strong foundation for later success.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The name speaks for itself. I was privileged to have a five weeks practicum at Rising Stars Lincoln Road in September 2017. This enabled me to learn and develop my teaching skills. I wa also privileged to learn Chinese language from.one of the teachers Wendy who took her time.?
Lived their outdoor area and the baby room. Very lovely place for the enquiring minds and whanau.

No two days are ever the same - You will hear and see laughter, chit chatter, quiet contemplation, negotiation, risk taking, testing body and mind, creativity, working together - tamariki, whanau and Kaiako, encouragement, planning, whanau contribution and so much more.

The teachers in each room at the centre are very warm and welcoming, which helped our daughter transition and settle in so well in each room. They have all made this journey of ours and our daughter very smooth and memorable. The centre really focusses on individual needs and have great communication. I cannot recommend it enough.
