About Riverhead School
For learners who prefer other activities they have the opportunity to participate in the speech competition, in which we have in school and then Northwest competitions. Learners are given the opportunity to audition for the school band, run by our specialist music teacher.
Biannually we hold a Senior and Junior School Operetta which caters for the more artistic learners. This provides opportunities across the board from acting and dancing, to lighting and behind the scenes work.
In the even years, we provide EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom) across the whole school from NE to Year 8. This provides a range of "outside the classroom" experiences which often children aren't able to experience.

β β β β β I attended this school from 2006-2011 which was a very long time ago but I think it is a very good school, I remember we had a History day where we learnt about Riverhead and had to dress up in Clothing of the time period of the earlier settlers and the teachers put so much effort into it, it really felt like we wentback in a time machine. The point of that long story is because I think they put so much effort into all the events or special days like Pizza day/ Sushi Day/ Rewards day/ Water sports day/ Mufti Days/ Coin Trails. It was a very long time ago that I attended this school but I think it is a wonderful school based on my past experiences... Not sure what it's like today though.
