The walk to the falls was short (only about 15-20 min) and the landscape was beautiful once we reached the falls. I wish I brought my swimsuit to jump in the water below. It looked so refreshing on the hot summer day!

A beautiful walk to the falls through native bush. Parking is limited. There is cell phone reception here. Lovely waterfall with good tracks and rocky riverbed. Birdsong is lovely. See our website for more great West Coast walks.

These are quite impressive falls particularly after the rain we've had this week. The trail to the edge of the river bed is excellent with wonderful green rainforest lining the edges. It's well formed and relatively flat. At the riverbed there's a bench to rest at and view the falls or you can take a few stairs down to the pebbles and walk much closer to the falls. The riverbed is extremely wide and more often than not mostly dry with a small section of running river. The views up and down the valley and to the falls are stunning. It's well worth the 20-30 minute return walk to take a look. The only downside is the car park is not great and is easily clogged when people park without using any thought for others.

Lovely place to get out and stretch for a bit! It's worth doing the relatively short walk through a magical-feeling forest onto the rocky riverbed to see the falls and river.

A simple flat walk takes you to amazing falls that can be viewed across the river! It’s unfortunate that you can’t get closer to the fall, however it is still an amazing sight to see!

We stopped to see roaring billy falls, it was part of our plan to stop at sign posted site. This was a great surprise well worth stopping. Easy flat walk one of the best well maintain track, you can hear the falls as you are walking the track. It was great been able walk over the river stones to see the falls. A MUST STOP AND SEE.

Just a short walk on a wide path to the rivers edge where you can view the Waterfall on the other side. Nice stop for a quick bit of fresh air on the drive between Haast and Wanaka.

It's good to stop for a break here and stretch your legs on a little walk. Walk is easy and surroundings just incredible with all those tall trees, birds and colors. Of course- waterfall is impressive too
