★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this guy seems nice and polite. however, I had a faulty oxygen sensor and I wanted a second hand one. he quoted me $85+GST+ labour cost. I took my car there and then 3 hours later he called me saying that he could not find the second hand one.do you want a new one which is $235? I said no I don't. It is expensive for me. then he said to me, because he has removed the part (how stupid a guy should be to find a part he has to remove it from car, instead of taking photos or giving the car model to the wrecker or whoever) he would still charge me $70. I went there then trying to convince him that it was his fault and he indeed quoted me a price for that. but he insisted that he had informed me that he had told me that he had to remove the part to find a replacement(which is true) but he didn't tell me he may not be able to find it!!!! and he would still charge me. very dishonest, pathetic and rip-off guy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been to this place a couple of times for a warrant of fitness and had no issues. My most recent visit I got told my car was too low to get on the hoist. I said the last time i was here this wasn't a issue he told me to go to VTNZ.
I won't be the only one going in from now, my friends and family used to go here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my experience,im not happy when he done my wof.
He Failed my WOF for the reason of wobbled of my alloy mags.but i ask 2 mechanics and check the thing,but there's no such wobbled in my mags.Also he said that my mags was warped.but just a really small thing.what we did is just hammered it and all done.can't recommend with someone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best be making a booking here, they sometimes have a bit of a wait as they are quite popular. Prices seem reasonable, not outrageously higher than other places, and work I've had done seems good so far. Does warrant of fitness etc as well as all the normal repairs. Have a beer next door while you wait.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rip Off and Not quality work!!!! AVOID
They said I NEEDED a wheel alignment to pass a warrant and then because they couldn’t be bothered doing it decided that I didn’t need one.
Also the brake pads they replaced were NOT worn at all and the wiper blades they replaced are completely useless! They would have been better off leaving the old ones in there as I am now going to have to buy some new ones.
Very dishonest and will never come back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor service does not know what they are doing Had Fuel filter changed and only lasted two months Was charged twice . Last time had to pay for WOF twice. Today failed warrant because park light not working and just a slight leak of power steering fluid . Pump belt looked fine but he wanted it changed so could make more money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hardly ever leave reviews but wanted to leave one here. I found Roland Mechanics a few years ago and have never been or thought about going to any other mechanic since. I trust them alot and don't know of many trusting mechanics (in Hamilton). Not saying there isn't any but believe they are honest and genuine. I have left my car there for like 2 weeks (when I couldn't afford to pay)? and they were good about it, I appreciate that. I was a poor student. Still poor but not a student. Overall, have been happy and feel price is reasonable (for my budget).Just wanted to leave a review and highly recommend:)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always friendly... the reason I will be a life long customer is the fact he doesn't just take it upon himself to do things to ur car with no authority.... and never makes you fail your warrant just for business... I've been ripped off by so many mechanics but NOT ONCE has this guy ripped me off... best mechanic in town....
