About Rouge
Rouge is a family-run Cafe in Cambridge, New Zealand. Originally opened in June 2009, Rouge is run by Alana and Phil MacKay, with help from Alana's parents David and Pamela McCathie.
We work hard to serve what we think of as the complete cafe experience - fresh tasty food, delicious and the best espresso coffee, good wine, great service and of course a stylish relaxing atmosphere. Our goal at Rouge is to create that experience in a way that is good for the community, our staff, and everyone else who we interact with.
We believe in fresh, local, seasonal food, and we try to work with suppliers who are committed to similar values. We use only free-range eggs, chicken and pork. We use quality organic milk from Green Valley, and our own blend of fairly traded, organic coffee from local coffee company Essenza.
If you haven’t already, we really encourage you to pop into Rouge, and see for yourself whether we’ve acheived our goal of providing the perfect balance of great food, excellent coffee, delicious wine and friendly, efficient service. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

β β β β β Went there with my husband and Mum. My husband had the big breakfast which was great. Mum and I shared the oriental platter and curly fries. The platter had wontons, mini spring rolls and samosa's which were cooked to perfection, light and crispy without being oily.
